Macbeth Act 3

In act 3 Macbeth is mentally being punished for his wrong doing. The three witches prophesied that Banquo's blood will take the throne. This leads Macbeth to have Banquo killed. He even tried to kill his son Fleance. He does this because he wants to eliminate anyone who had a chance of becoming king. However, Macbeth is not a killer. The insomnia is bothering Macbeth and he begins to believe that he sees Banquos ghost. While Macbeth is clearly having a hard time, Lady Macbeth tries to ignore what her husband was doing although everyone noticed something was wrong with him while at the banquet.
