Learning about Geoffrey Chaucer




  1.            Geoffrey Chaucer was a poet known as "The father of English literature."Chaucer was admired for his poetry during the Medieval English Era. Although many praised his work, he also had quite of few critics. Few could really understand his poetry. His work includes folk tales,sermons, rhetorical textbooks, and more. His poems carried three different origins. Latin, French, and Italian, and were often narrated by a naïve persona and usually left unfinished. By leaving them unfinished, one could make their on interpretation about the ending. In the introductory, it states that Chaucers favorite subject was human love. One can say that Chaucer was not the average poet. He had his own unique style and will forever be remembered.
